Improvement - Just How To Go About Remodeling your bathroom
Maybe your bathroom is looking less than perfect
but is still functional ... and so you feel inclined to just tolerate it until
something goes wrong? Perhaps the paint is peeling, or maybe the fixtures are
broken, or maybe the flooring is stained. It is alright to remodel the bathroom
even for aesthetic reasons alone.
Larger and very well equipped bathrooms are popular now - not just functional
ones unlike in the past. Several years ago most bathrooms were built such that
there was barely sufficient space to turn around. But that is not what is
popular now. So in case there is room, maybe you could expand your bathroom by a
few feet.
If your bathroom has just one small window maybe you would want to enlarge it
along with the rest of the room, and possibly add more lighting too. And while
you are adding lighting, you may want to be a little creative and choose
lighting that will suit your different moods - for instance if you are just
settling in for a bath then you might prefer relaxing, dim lights. But on the
other hand if you are shaving then you might want something much brighter.
And are the cabinets in your bathroom worth keeping? In case they are, then
refinishing the cabinets with a lighter color may give them a brand new look.
And while we are discussing refinishing cabinets, topping the cabinets with
custom-cut marble might be a great thing to do to enhance their beauty and
elegance. |

You may also want to install radiant heat in your bathroom - the sort that
radiates heat up from the bathroom floor. Being able to walk barefoot on your
warm and cozy bathroom floor would indeed be a great feeling. And when the floor
is warm then rest of the bathroom should be warm too.
And if reading all this makes you feel that you should start remodeling your
bathroom right away, well, that's understandable. But before you begin, you
might want to get crystal clear about what it is that you exactly want ... and
to do that, you might want to read several home improvement magazines, study
displays at home improvement stores, get to know what you like to see and feel
most ... and once you have a crystal clear idea about what it is that you want
your bathroom to look and feel like, then you might want to give some thought to
hiring the right contractor to remodel your bathroom.
